deflated morale

I’m having the beginner’s curse of falling off the wagon the last week and a half. I have been feeling really frustrated & disappointed in quite a few areas of my life and have been falling for that comforting tug of food which I hate. There has got to be a better way to work through these issues than stuffing myself. I can’t stand to lose the same 10lbs AGAIN. I swear if I added them all together, I would have disappeared by now.

For me the gym is my way to work out the frustrations. Put on your headphones and go for a long walk. Food is not a friend or an enemy….it is simply a fuel albeit sometimes tasty and captivating. Don’t give up on yourself….funny but I was just lecturing myself on knowing that it takes 6 wks to form a habit. Keep at it and you’ll keep losing.

You did the right thing, by blogging about it. This is the first step in the right direction. The next is to let it all go and start - right now. Make those littles changes, daily.

I suggest, like I told my other buddies, to keep writing it down, everything that bothers you - on here you can post a blog as “private” so you can reflect on it at a later date.

Welcome back onto your wagon. :)

I’m glad you came back to your blog and haven’t given up. It’s been months for me and I’m still up and down. But I’m not giving up. Also I did as Nancy suggested and wrote a private blog, I did start to feel better after.

Good luck and I’m glad you’re back.

I’m glad to hear from you again! I’m sorry your feeling frustrated - just re-boot and don’t look back :) As Princess Arthur says, it takes 6 weeks to establish a habit - and you’ve had a lifetime of your habits to undo.

Hey ladies, thanks for the feedback. I wish the 6 weeks would get over already! Question: so I can blog privately & just my buddies see it or is it private to myself?

that’s a tough habit to break… still working on that one myself… it became a lot easier to combat when i removed all junk and unhealthy stuff from the house! I’ve “stuffed” myself with spinach or lettuce, tomatoes and feta on several occasions. soOoo i binge on healthier stuff… (although, i suppose, that’s like switching one bad habit, for another bad, but not as bad habit but… ehh…!!?) hope in time the desire to binge when stressed or emo dissipates…
